Teeth Whitening (Bleaching)
Did you know that cosmetic bleaching is a safe effective way to lighten stained or discolored teeth?

Tooth bleaching is offered for cosmetic purposes. Many individuals who have discolored enamel are not satisfied with the appearance of their teeth and go to great lengths to achieve the perfect smile.

TYPES OF STAINS

1. Intrinsic stains
2. Extrinsic stains

Tooth bleaching can be a solution to it. This can be done by a dentist in the dental clinic or at home. Any person considering using home bleaching products should seek advice from a dentist. This visit is crucial as home bleaching treatments may not be effective or preferable for every individual. For the best and safest results, the individual should be monitored by the dentist throughout, either if he undergoes home bleaching or office bleaching.

Zoom- In office bleaching system

The Zoom!TM  System is engineered to capture a specific spectrum of light which activates the Zoom! Whitening gel.
The whitening gel is provided in a two-part system for greater stability.
The Zoom! Chairside procedure is proven to produce an average of 8 shades, but as many as 11 to 13 have been documented. Zoom! Is most effective on yellow and brown stained teeth that have never been whitened before, but can be used for whitening all types of stains.

Ideal patients should be in good health and free of decay and calculus. Yellow staining from aging, tobacco, dark cola, tea, coffee, and red wine will achieve the greatest success with this procedure. Those patients with gray shading from tetracycline or other chemicals may experience less dramatic results, but should expect improvement from this brief procedure. For those patients with severe stains, the use of the Zoom! Chairside System in combination with take home products will provide the greatest results in the shortest period of time.
Zoom! Offers a post treatment program which includes a syringe of Fluoridex Daily Defense 1.1% Neutral Sodium Fuoride and either Zoom! 6%. Zoom! 4% or Excel 3 Day While 7.5\5 Take Home gel as a maintenance program for touch-ups later. After the Zoom! Procedure, some patients may experience a shade or two of fade back as the teeth rehydrate. However, this may be offset by the fact that further whitening typically occurs over the next 24 hours post-treatment.
