Prosthodontics (Dentures)

Many people believe that once they have dentures, they no longer need regular dental care. Denture wearers require regular examination to ensure their health, comfort and appearance. Gum tissues are in a constant state of change due to denture pressure. Periodic relining of the dentures may be necessary to ensure a tight and comfortable fit.

Partial Denture

Types
(1) Removable Partial Denture –
Acrylic:

Valplast
Flexible Partial is an unbreakable, removable partial that many people find quite comfortable. These lightweight partials are practically very light weight, transparent and completely eliminate the metal clasps that you may have seen on other partials.

The nylon based dentures are very thin, stronger and more flexible than the acrylic used in other kinds of dentures and partials, eliminating that heavy, bulky feeling as well as difficulty in speech, that made wearing partials so unpleasant in the old days.
Additionally, dentists have recommended Valplast as a viable alternative for full denture and can be used for patients who have allergic reactions to acrylic.

Complete Denture
A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and adjacent tissue.
